NOTICE - As of July 1 2020 we will no longer be servicing TUSD Schools for Book Pick up. We remain available for other districts for Book Pick ups.

JULY 2017 - CURRENTLY WE ARE PROCESSING BOTH TUSD AND MARANA SCHOOL DISTRICTS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF TEXTBOOKS AND LIBRARY BOOKS AS WELL AS EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL.
Currently we have a bid with TUSD for the Disposal of Used Textbooks and Library Books. We will honor that bid with any district or school that requests that service. Please contact us for details at
I will continue to pick up discard library books directly from schools. Allow up to 2 weeks for a pick up. Email is the best communication to schedule a pick up. (email@example.com)
Remember that boxes need to be medium size, size of paper box or smaller. If they are too heavy or large I will need to have them re-boxed and the pick up rescheduled. Be sure to mark the boxes either ABS or Discard or I will have to leave them as I will not know that they are for pick up.
All Textbooks should be packed separate and are picked up by the warehouse. (call the warehouse at 225-4904 or 4910) Books are checked for current adoptions and placed on shelves available for other schools in TUSD district to request for use.
Please have all the books boxed up in small boxes no bigger than copy paper boxes. Re-using textbook boxes is perfect. Try to save them when you reorder from book companies. The best rule is if you can pick them up- I can also. OSHA requires no more than 50 Lbs each box. Mark all the boxes ABS or Discard and be sure to tell the staff where they are located. Often I get to the school and no one knows where they are or anything about the books. Thanks and see you all soon.
If we arrive at the school for a pick up and the boxes are too big we will request that they be reboxed and the school will have to re-schedule to have them picked up at a later date.
Appointments- email us and I will contact you within 24 - 48 hours. If you do not hear back from us in that time we might not have received the message. Many schools are calling the district or warehouse for pickup. We do not receive any messages left at the district.

Arizona Book Services has provided a disposal service for TUSD since 1996. All books are either resold on the secondary market and a portion of the funds returned to the TUSD general fund. Some books are recycled and or donated to local groups and charities.
